Our Story

Established in 2021 by Icelynn Coker and Kennyatta Ford, Greater Good Therapy Company was built on a shared dream of two college students attending South Carolina State University. As speech-language pathologists who grew up in rural regions of South Carolina, Icelynn and Kennyatta recognized the crucial need for accessible service providers in their communities. Motivated by the desire to bridge that gap and reach children who may otherwise not have the opportunity to receive specialized care, Greater Good welcomed its first client in August 2021.

Since it opened its doors, Greater Good Therapy Company has positively impacted the lives of over 90 children and families across six counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Clinton, Greenwood, Greenville, and Laurens. Their guiding principle, "Empowering children today for a greater tomorrow," reflects their unwavering commitment to enhancing the skills, well-being, and opportunities of young individuals.

Icelynn and Kennyatta, the dynamic duo behind Greater Good, envision an expansive future for their organization. Their aspirations include broadening their services to encompass occupational therapy, physical therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and family counseling, ensuring comprehensive access and support for the communities they serve.
